  I was welcomed by a friendly landlady, in a warm and cosy atmosphere. Although I didn't have the chance to try the food, the menu looked proper varied. There was a nice garden round the back, ideal for summertime chilling, a day out with family or friends. The location is ideal for travellers holiday makers or the occasional by-passer that wants to freshen up a bit with a drink or a quick bite. I will definetely try the ice cream with chocolate, strawberry and toffee sauce in the summer.

  Always a lovely atmosphere. Cheerful and attentive staff. Relaxed dining and good quality food. Sunday roasts delicious. Children's play area and separate outside beer garden at the rear with an additional under cover seating area, complete with chesterfield sofas!! Live music at weekends and charity fund raising events. The attention to detail in the range of hand soaps and hand creams in the ladies is an unexpected treat! Carol, the landlady, is an absolute star and makes the Chiverton Arms a smiley place to visit.
